Central Virginia Chapter National Black Nurses Association launches the inaugural Mini Nurse Academy

It's official!!! The #NationalBlackNursesAssociation Mini Nurse Academy is in Virginia! The Mini Nurse Academy was launched at Luther Porter Jackson Middle School in Surry County, VA on April 20, 2023 by the Central Virginia Chapter Black Nurses Association (CVCBNA) under the leadership of President Vivienne Pierce McDaniel, DNP, MSN, RN. The Mini Nurse Academy focuses on teaching students from the 3rd through 6th grade about #wellness, the history of #nursing, and hands-on lab activities. CVCBNA Mini Nurse Academy ambassadors are Dr. Vivienne Pierce McDaniel, Dr. Karen Faison, Dr. Angel Daniels, Dr. Blen Abdi, Dr. Tiffany Latham, Annie Gooden, Mesha Jones and Dr. Frances Montague.
