Acute Care Division Director

The Virginia Department of Health, Office of Licensure & Certification is seeking an experienced nursing professional to serve as the Acute Care Division Director. In this executive leadership role, you will oversee all Medical Facilities Inspector Supervisors and their teams, ensuring hospitals, hospices, and home health agencies comply with state and federal regulations. You will provide strategic direction, guidance, and oversight for inspection programs, promoting patient safety and high-quality care across Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple supervisor teams and their inspectors in acute care settings.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.
• Develop, implement, and maintain inspection strategies, protocols, and training initiatives.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert for acute care compliance matters.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance public health goals.
